Specialist project management consultancy, 3SixtyConsult announces the handover of Komatsu’s regional headquarters, which is one of the largest Warehousing and Training facilities for Komatsu outside of the Japanese company’s home market. The 17,000 sqm facility will allow Komatsu to showcase its heavy machinery to the Middle Eastern market and provide a high standard of training for its operatives and servicing teams, while also functioning as its regional parts distribution hub. The facility includes a warehouse, training centre, office and a machine demonstration area with a viewing stand.
Commenting on the project’s successful completion, Principal Partner and Projects Director at 3SixtyConsult, Keenan Grote said: “Working with Komatsu on this project was exciting for the 3Sixty team. Komatsu is a world-renowned name in the global industrial vehicle sector and completing this facility to Komatsu’s exacting standards gave our working team along with McLarens Contracting a great sense of fulfillment and pride. We successfully managed the project from tender stage right through design development, authority approvals, construction and close out, delivering a world class facility that surpassed the end users’ expectations. The DP World team was equally instrumental in the success of the project as without their support and dedication to their tenants, the statutory approval process could not have been so seamless.”
3Sixty worked with Komatsu and DP World to develop the initial concept design and subsequently compile the tender for issuance to the market, ensuring the design emulated Komatsu’s existing flagship facilities in Japan while also including the advanced technical requirements of such a facility.

Babak Javidani – General Manager, Training & Admin. Dept., and Project Lead for Komatsu Middle East FZE said: “The Komatsu team is extremely grateful for the support and professionalism from 3SixtyConsult during the past one year in our Training Center & Warehouse project. The project team at Komatsu has no doubt that their professional project management enabled us to complete the project at a world-class level in line with Komatsu’s high standards. The 3Sixty team managed to deliver this project in accordance with the cost parameters and within the required timeline.”
The project involved co-ordinating the requirements of multiple project stakeholders located in both the UAE and Japan, while keeping all parties informed of progress, risks/issues as they occurred, and ensuring all stakeholder requirements and changes were successfully incorporated throughout each stage of the project.
