Liebherr LR 853 HD “Litronic” crawler crane/rope excavator powered by a 300 hp (@1800 rpm) Liebherr D 926TI turbocharged and intercooled in-line, 6 cylinder diesel engine including the following:

Fuel efficient Liebherr “Litronic” regulated hydraulic system with six variable displacement axial piston pumps for simultaneous operation of travel and crane functions. Pumps operate in close2389d and open loop circuits to supply oil only on demand. Oil cooler and 171 gallon hydraulic reservoir.
Two planetary drive main hoist winches utilize pressure controlled, variable flow hydraulic motors. Free fall system with internal multi disc brake. 36,300 lb. rated maximum single line pull. Grooved winch drums and wire rope for crane or dragline service.
Boom hoist winch with twin drums and twelve (12) part boom hoist line. Variable speed boom hoist control.
Heavy duty 36 ft. two piece basic pin connected steel tube crane boom consisting of an 18 ft. inner boom, 18 ft. outer with off-set boom head (2+3 sheaves), A-frame with hydraulic cylinder, boom backstops, and pendant suspension. Boom extensions to 196 ft. total.
30 ft. fixed jib.
Single race ball bearing swing ring. Modular high torque swing drive powered by 78 gal. per min. axial piston pump driving an axial piston motor and planetary gearbox. Swing speeds variable from 0 to 4.7 rpm. Three speed ranges increase swing precision.
Heavy duty carbody with hydraulically adjustable side frame width for easy transport. Sealed and lubricated tractor-type undercarriage with ten lower frame rollers and track guides at each end of track frame. Heavy-duty replaceable 35.5 in. wide track pads. 19 ft. 5 in. long by 16 ft. 9 in. wide crawler base extended and 11 ft. 6 in. wide retracted.
Compact final drives with planetary reduction. Crawlers counter-rotate.
Resiliently mounted and sound insulated steel operators cab with large heat treated safety glass windows, windshield wipers, fire extinguisher, radio/cassette player, adjustable suspension seat, joystick controls, display monitor, heater, defroster and cab air conditioning. Emergency control system.
